| INDUS Child Labour Project is being implemented by National Child Labour Project Society, Jalna registered under Society Registration Act, 1860 vide no.MH/62/07 dt. 27th February 2004.The base line survey was conducted by NCLP Society during January 2004 to May 2004 with the help of MSW students. 8025 child labours from 5-17 age group found in Jalna district (pocket areas) during base line survey. Hazardous sectors in Jalna covered under base survey – 1. Bidi 2. Brick 3. Stone Quarrying 4. Garage 5. Hotel/Restaurant 6. Rag Picking TEC ( Transactional Education Center ):
2 TECs started from April 2005. 9 TECs started from August 2005. 7 TECs started from September 2005. 1 TEC started from November 2005. 1 TEC started from December 2005. TEC run by
NGO – 13 All TECs are in slum areas.
2 Educational Instructors, 1 Per-vocational Instructor, 1 Resource Person, & 1 Helper are placed in each TEC. Students are getting education in std.1 to 4 based on their educational performance. Students are getting balanced mid-day meal during intermission. Chapati & Sabji is giving daily in mid-day meal. TEC students are getting per-vocational training such as Hand- craft, Embroidery, Drawing, Mehandi, Painting etc. Different sports activities are being arranged for TEC students. Different educational programmes & cinemas are being shown to TEC students. Sanitary Education is regularly given to the TEC students.

TEC’s Problems & Solutions Collecting necessary information Student’s Educational Progress Supplying required educational material Health Check - Up : Health Check-up is being performed twice in a month on every TEC by Mission Hospital at Jalna & by Govt. PHC Doctors at Taluka Place. Students found major health problems are referred for further treatment. Health Camps are organised for the parents of TEC students. Major operations like Hernia, Apendis, are performed. Eye Check-up was completed successfully & ENT Camp is proposed. Eye Camp PHOTOS. Family Planning Camp: Family planning camp was organised in November 05 for parents of the TEC students. 13 family planning operations completed in Civil Hospital, Jalna. 43 family planning operations completed in Mission Hospital, Jalna. Stipend: Monthly stipend is given to the students as per their presenty. For this, student’s account jointly with their mothers are opened in the near by post office. Guardian Minister Mr. Rajsh Tope. School Bag Distribution 2000 Child Labour Students form 40 TECs have given School Bag with Note books Class wise.

Members •Competitions were arranged for Parents & Instructors •Prize Distribution of winners Mahila Melawa PHOTOS Cultural Programme by Child Labours : On 1st of May 2006 on the occasion of Maharashtra Day and Labour day INDUS Child labour Project Jalna had been arranged a Cultural Programme in which child labours performed activities like Dancing, singing, Drama etc. CULTURAL PROGRAMME PHOTOS Student’s Examination 827 students of 1st Std. given written & Oral exam between 8th Oct 05 to 15th Oct 05 from 22 TECs. 152 TEC Students were enrolled for 4th Std. Board Exam. 145 students actually appeared for the exam. All these 145 students successfully completed the exam.
